After having received a major refresh last year, the 2023 Volkswagen Jetta will continue to offer the same characteristics that have made it a success over many years.
Two advanced powertrains
The 2023 Volkswagen Jetta is equipped with the 1,5L turbocharged engine that was introduced in this model as part of the extensive refresh it received in 2022. This engine contributes to making the 2023 Jetta more fun to drive and more efficient than previous models due to its 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque output and its numerous technologies, which include a variable turbine geometry for the turbocharger and a high-pressure fuel injection system that optimizes the use of fuel. The 2023 Jetta GLI continues to be powered by the same 2,0L turbocharged engine that makes it even more fun to drive with its 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.
A number of advanced connectivity features
The 2023 Volkswagen Jetta is available with many of the latest connectivity technologies that are engineered to help occupants stay connected while in the car. These features include the standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as the available MIB3 infotainment system with an 8-inch glass-covered screen. This infotainment system can be improved with the addition of the Car-Net connected services which make it possible to lock and unlock the car, run a diagnostic and locate the vehicle, all from the owner’s mobile phone.
The same practicality as ever
The 2023 Volkswagen Jetta remains one of the most practical compact sedans on the market due to its generous interior space. This not only allows more cargo to be loaded into the 399 litre trunk but it also makes passengers more comfortable on longer trips by giving them enough room to stretch out. Of course, if more space is needed in the trunk or if long items such as skis need to be transported, the rear seat folds in a 60/40 split to allow a balance between cargo and passengers.
